Blackcurrant

This small black berry with its intense taste is also a major ingredient of Burgundy’s gastronomy and cuisine.

You’ll find it in lots of recipes, and it’s a major ingredient in the famous crème de cassis. No kir would be possible without this velvety cream with its purple colour.

A special place is even dedicated to blackcurrant on the Côte d'Or: the Cassissium.
