Saint-Philibert of Tournus Abbey

Located on the edge of the Saône and in the Land of Art and History between Cluny and Tournus, the town of Tournus has a distinctly southern atmosphere. From the mosaic of the pink tile roofs of its houses, the steeples of Saint Philibert Abbey rise up. Built at the turn of the year 1000, this abbey is one of the oldest Roman sanctuaries in France. The Abbey isn’t the town’s only treasure, the Hôtel Dieu also being of great interest.

Also visit: The Greuze Museum housed in a wing of the former Hôtel-Dieu which also includes a hospital museum.
