Cîteaux Abbey

Founded in 1098 by Robert de Molesmes and renovated in 1998, Cîteaux abbey is located in the Saône plain.

Cradle of the Cistercian Order, it is currently still inhabited by about thirty Cistercian monks of all generations. You will be able to walk along the paths of the abbey thanks to a guided tour, a film and an exhibition that will introduce you to monastic life.

It is in these places that the cheese of the abbey of Cîteaux is made.
