Chalon-sur-Saône

Dynamic and lively, Chalon-sur-Saône is the second largest city in Burgundy and an important river port. The Saint Vincent district, around the Cathedral, has retained its medieval charm. Full of museums and green spaces, this city invites you for more than just a stroll: a gourmet destination, during a visit to the Maison des Vins (House of Wines) of the Côte Chalonnaise or the market on Place Saint Vincent; festive during the street arts festival "Chalon on the streets" or the Côte Chalonnaise Paulée or carnival, the second biggest in France after Nice.

Also visit: The Denon Museum dedicated to Fine Arts and Archaeology, and the Niepce Museum, dedicated to the inventor of photography.
