Castle of Germolles

Located near Chalon-sur-Saône, this castle with its exceptional charm is one of the best preserved, to know that most of the princely palaces of this period have almost entirely disappeared.

Given by the Duke of Burgundy Philippe le Hardi to his wife Marguerite de Flandre at the end of the 14th century, this structure was initially a fortified barn.

You can discover the whole castle as well as its English-style park and its magnificent rose garden. Its bucolic style and its 600 years of history testify to the life of a princely court in the many corners of the castle.
